From our strategically located headquarters in Winsford, Cheshire near the M6, we manage UK-wide operations, delivering specialised transport solutions for complex and sensitive consignments.
We excel in the secure and compliant transportation of high-risk and regulated items, including prohibited firearms, controlled drugs, forensic evidence, protected data, and other assets under stringent regulatory controls. Our commitment to meticulous service and compliance has made us the preferred partner for clients requiring the highest levels of security and confidentiality.
With four decades of experience, we continue to expand our capabilities while maintaining our reputation for reliability, security, and excellence across the UK.
Our service model meets the demands of highly regulated sectors, including Public Health, Food Chain, Criminal Justice, nuclear medicine, and nuclear power. Ensuring chain-of-custody and continuity over sensitive consignments, we consistently achieve a KPI of over 99.98% for on-time, same-day, and next-day deliveries.
As a UK Government Crown Commercial Services supplier, Topspeed holds multiple accreditations, including ISO 9001, 13485, 14001, 22301, 27001, and 27701, covering Quality, Medical Devices, Environmental Management, Business Continuity, Information Security, Data Privacy, and Cyber Essentials PLUS. Collectively, these certifications form the Topspeed Information Management System (TIMS). Our streamlined supply chain, with direct employment and training of our 200 skilled drivers and managers, ensures top performance.
All drivers undergo BPSS vetting, with some requiring SC clearance. Cleared drivers are issued company mobile phones and photo ID cards, detailing their clearance level and expiry date. They carry their UK Driver’s Licence and wear corporate-branded uniforms on duty. We use an online DVLA service to regularly verify licences, with quarterly reports and automatic alerts for any status changes.
With 40 years of experience, we excel at recruiting, training, and employing drivers across the UK, ensuring comprehensive service coverage. Our HR team continuously recruits to keep our driver pool well-resourced and strategically positioned for UK-wide operations.
Topspeed is committed to achieving Net Zero by 2040, with a fully electric vehicle fleet targeted for 2027. Certified to ISO 14001 for Environmental Management and ISO 14064 for Carbon Reduction, we have implemented significant initiatives to reduce emissions and waste. Our Carbon Reduction Plan leverages a sophisticated carbon accounting engine to calculate Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, enabling us to pinpoint areas for further savings.
With a short supply chain and entirely in-house service provision, approximately 75% of our carbon emissions fall within Scope 1 (direct vehicle emissions) and Scope 2 (indirect emissions from purchased energy). This unique structure allows us to accurately calculate, control, and report ongoing emissions as outlined in our Carbon Reduction Plan.
