Topspeed officially receives The King’s Award for Enterprise – Sustainable Development

Kings Award 2nd October 2026 - Topspeed

Topspeed Couriers has officially received The King’s Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development, with a special ceremony held at our Winsford Operations Hub on Friday 2nd October.

Topspeed was delighted to welcome His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire, Lady Redmond MBE, to the Operations Hub to formally present the company with its King’s Award plaque.

Lady Redmond was accompanied by her husband, Sir Phil Redmond, and Robin Roberts LVO, Lieutenancy Officer, who conducted the formal part of the ceremony by reading the official scroll sent directly from His Majesty King Charles III.

The scroll formally recognises Topspeed’s outstanding achievement in the application of sustainability and confirms the company’s receipt of The King’s Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development for a period of five years, from 6th May 2026 to 5th May 2031.

The award is a significant achievement for Topspeed and recognises the company’s ongoing commitment to reducing its environmental impact and embedding sustainability across its operations.

A team achievement

Stephen Clegg, Founder and CEO of Topspeed, was joined at the ceremony by Sarah Ginham Clegg, Assurance Director, and Gillian Lockley, Managing Director.

Members of the Winsford Operations Hub team also attended, including Holly Lockley, Business Manager, who led and coordinated Topspeed’s King’s Award application on behalf of the company.

The ceremony was also attended by Andrew Cooper, local MP, representatives from Topspeed’s supplier network and members of the Winsford business community.

Lady Redmond congratulated Topspeed on receiving the award and recognised the work undertaken by the business to achieve this important milestone.

Following the presentation, Stephen Clegg spoke with pride about the award and the contribution made by the whole Topspeed team.

He emphasised that the recognition was not the achievement of one individual or department, but a collective achievement involving every member of the Topspeed team.

The King’s Award builds on a long-term commitment to sustainability at Topspeed. The company has continued to invest in electric vehicles, reduce emissions and look for practical ways to make its operations more sustainable, while continuing to deliver the specialist courier services its customers rely on.

Receiving The King’s Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development is therefore an important recognition of the progress Topspeed has made, and the commitment of its people to continuing that journey.

Congratulations to everyone at Topspeed on this fantastic achievement.
