This week, we are very sad to share the news that Llewie, a much-loved member of the Topspeed family, has passed away.
For many of us, Llewie was a familiar and much-loved presence at Topspeed. Whether greeting colleagues or keeping a watchful eye on visitors, he became part of daily life here in his own unmistakable way.
Stephen and Sarah shared the sad news with the team, along with the following heartfelt tribute.
Eulogy to a Friend
We are sad to report that Llewie, our constant companion and co-conspirator on so many adventures, exploits and expeditions, went to sleep for the very last time yesterday.
Unfortunately, his back legs, which had carried him in seemingly effortless pursuit of so many badgers, cats, hares and sticks, often across rivers, finally gave up the chase. While the mind was willing, the body was less so.
Like all good partnerships, calling time is the hardest decision to make, and for Llewie this was no exception.
It’s fair to say he had his favourites at Topspeed, anyone with a biscuit! He also had those he viewed with suspicion, as many long-departed drivers, literally, will attest.
We’d like to thank everyone who took the time to have a friendly word with Llewie and share their snacks. We know he enjoyed your company.

Llewie will be fondly remembered by everyone at Topspeed who had the pleasure of knowing him, especially those who knew to keep a biscuit close to hand. He leaves behind countless happy memories and will be greatly missed.
