At Topspeed, our people are at the heart of everything we do, and that includes keeping everyone safe, supported, and confident in their work environment. We’re delighted to highlight Steven, our Warehouse Manager (Days), who has recently taken on additional responsibilities in Health and Safety across the business.
Steven has always played an active role in this area, but his commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workplace has now expanded to cover an even broader range of responsibilities. With a strong foundation of relevant qualifications, Steven brings both knowledge and passion to the role.
His qualifications include:
- Level 3 First Aid
- Head Fire Marshal
- Risk Assessment and Management
- Mental Health First Aider
- COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)
- Certified Manual Handling Trainer
- Racking Safety
He’s also continuing to develop his expertise, currently completing a PAT testing course and preparing to begin a NEBOSH qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
In his enhanced role, Steven is responsible for ensuring that all risk assessments are completed, up to date, and effectively implemented across the site. These include assessments for fire safety, warehouse operations, dry ice handling, and more.
Alongside this, Steven oversees the calibration and inspection of warehouse equipment, ensuring everything is in good working order and fit for use before it goes into operation — a crucial part of maintaining safety and efficiency in our day-to-day work.
Reflecting on his expanded responsibilities, Steven said:

It’s not just about compliance; it’s about creating a culture where people look out for each other and feel confident in what they do. The goal is to make sure everyone goes home safe at the end of the day, every day.”
