We are delighted to announce that Matthew has been promoted to Workshop Manager at Topspeed.
Matthew first joined us in September 2023, initially on a part-time basis, before stepping into a full-time role. He brought with him an incredible depth of experience from his 23-year career in the British Army, where he began as a vehicle mechanic and later progressed to Sergeant, managing teams for the last nine years of his service.
Since joining Topspeed, Matthew has quickly become an integral part of the workshop team. Skilled in working on both electrical and diesel vehicles, he has continued to invest in his professional development, achieving his Level 3 and Level 4 Hybrid Vehicle Mechanic qualifications. He also qualified as an MOT Inspector last year and, most recently, successfully completed his MOT Managers course, making him the Topspeed MOT Site Manager and Inspector.
Alongside his workshop responsibilities, Matthew has also been trained, together with our apprentice Wiktor, on the in-house vinyl printer used for branding fleet vehicles. Wiktor will take the lead in this area, while Matthew continues to oversee the operational side of the workshop.
When asked about his favourite Topspeed vehicle, Matthew didn’t hesitate:
“It has to be the new VW ID Buzz. Not only does it look stylish, but the mileage range is excellent.”
