We’re delighted to celebrate the achievements of our Operations Coordinator, Craig, who this week successfully completed two specialist training courses in Information Security.
Craig first undertook the ISO 27001:2022 Foundation Course, which covered:
- How standards are developed by ISO
- The application of the three ISMS principles
- Key terminology in information security management systems (as defined in ISO 27000)
- The purpose of ISMS and the use of the ISO 27000 family of standards
He then went on to complete the ISMS Internal Auditor Training Course with ISOQUAR, which explored:
- The purpose of Information Security Management Systems
- The Process Approach, aligned with ISO 19011:2018
- The PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) Deming Cycle and its role in continual improvement
The courses were delivered virtually via Microsoft Teams, and Craig was able to complete them at the Topspeed Operations Hub using our facilities. With smaller group sizes, the training was interactive, engaging, and tailored — something Craig particularly enjoyed.
Craig will shortly receive certificates of completion for both courses. Looking ahead, the Internal Auditor training also opens the door for him to apply for registration with the International Register of Certified Auditors (IRCA), once he has completed a number of audits and built further experience in the field.
Reflecting on the experience, Craig said:
“The training was a really positive experience, and I’m looking forward to putting what I’ve learned into practice here at Topspeed. Having a robust ISMS not only strengthens our internal processes but also shows our stakeholders how seriously we take the safeguarding of their data.”
We’re proud of Craig’s achievement and excited to see the impact his new skills will bring to the business and our commitment to ISO 27001 standards.
