Topspeed Take Delivery of FOUR NEW Mercedes-Benz eSprinters

Topspeed eSprinter

Topspeed recently took delivery of four brand-new Mercedes-Benz eSprinter vans, further enhancing our eco-friendly and efficient fleet.

This delivery follows the launch of the new eSprinter at the Birmingham NEC earlier this year that Topspeed’s founder and CEO, Stephen Clegg and Workshop Manager Callum Gregson attended.  So impressed were they by the electric vehicle’s capabilities during the test drive, that on return to the office, an order was placed.

The new eSprinters are a robust addition to our fleet, each boasting a weight of 4.25 tonnes. To ensure compliance with road safety and regulatory standards, our drivers without a CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) certification must complete a specialist five-hour training session within our in-house Topspeed Academy facility. This applies to those holding a standard B car licence or an HGV licence. Additionally, drivers will be required to comply with tachograph (tacho) rules, which monitor driving hours to ensure safety and adherence to legal limits.

Key features of the new eSprinters include a speed restriction of 56 mph and an impressive 27,000-mile service interval, meaning minimal downtime and maintenance. Perhaps most notable is the van’s range, which can reach over 300 miles on a single charge, making it an ideal choice for long-distance deliveries.

Stephen Clegg comments: “This latest acquisition underscores our commitment to driving sustainability and innovation, and we will continue to invest in cutting-edge technology to provide the best possible service while reducing our carbon footprint. With these new eSprinters, we are not only bolstering our fleet, but we believe we are also setting a standard for eco-conscious logistics in the industry.”
