Taking place at Macclesfield College today was Cheshire East’s Skills & Growth workshop on ‘Winning bids for public sector contracts.
Attending businesses were given information and guidance on where to look for opportunities and to understand what buyers are looking for.
As part of the session, Dave Turner, Managing Director was invited to discuss how Topspeed were awarded a place on the Crown Commercial Services Framework. Dave gave a short presentation to the 26 businesses represented in the room about Topspeed’s experiences of successfully winning tender bids, how they decide which opportunities to apply for and how they move on when they are unsuccessful (occasionally it does happen). In addition, Dave provided some top tips and guidance for the businesses that may be new to writing and submitting bids for public sector contracts.
Commenting on the workshop, Dave said; “we have learnt from many years of responding to invitations to tenders for public sector contracts and were pleased to pass on our experiences to other businesses looking for opportunities to work in the public sector. The team at the Cheshire East Skills & Growth Hub have been of great help and support to Topspeed”
