Topspeed is in search of a proficient and certified Vehicle Technician to join our in-house Workshop team.

Working with our Workshop Manager, you’ll play a vital role in the upkeep and restoration of our fleet of Mercedes vans, guaranteeing their road-worthiness and adherence to regulations.

Your responsibilities will encompass addressing sporadic breakdown matters, conducting diagnoses, and effecting repairs, all geared towards optimising dependability and operational performance. A strong command over both mechanical and electrical aspects of vehicles, coupled with exceptional troubleshooting skills, will be indispensable in this role.

Key Responsibilities are as follows:

  • Routine maintenance and servicing
  • Knowledge of use of diagnostic scanner tool
  • Planned maintenance inspections (PMI)
  • MOT preparation and repair
  • Tyre fitting, wheel balancing and repairs
  • Wheel torque and quality control
  • Wheel balancing
  • Battery replacement
  • Brake replacements discs and pads shoes and drums etc
  • Clutch replacements and repairs
  • Steering and suspension repairs
  • Light bulbs and lamp replacements
  • Ensure all vehicles are road worthy and compliant.

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Schedule:

  • 9-hour shift with 30 mins for lunch.
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Licence/Certification:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualified or equivalent in light vehicle maintenance.
  • Full driving licence is required.
  • Mobile Air conditioning trained is desirable.
  • HV Qualified (we can provide training for the right candidate)
