Topspeed Supporting People Development

At Topspeed we understand the importance of providing our people with the right training to help them with their roles and to aid their own career development.

One such recent example is with our Warehouse Manager, Steven Shaw.

Steven is in the process of completing his Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative qualification. The programme is run over the period of 14 months and incorporates a variety of on-the-job and off-the-job elements that includes face-to-face and online courses, equipment training, mentoring, completing assessments, attending lectures and research activities.

Sarah Ginham-Clegg, Assurance Director comments “Steven joined Topspeed with the right level of experience and qualifications, and already made a huge difference in the way our Warehouse functions on a day-to-day basis. This programme will provide him with more skills, knowledge, and ability to handle the growing needs of the Warehouse”

The programme focuses on all elements of Warehouse activities from taking deliveries, checking for damaged and missing items, storing goods, moving stock by various methods, picking, and packing of orders, loading goods for dispatch, maintaining stock records and documentation, and cleaning. Warehouse operatives are required to safely use a range of equipment, machinery, and vehicles, as relevant to their role and setting, therefore the programme incorporates technical elements and health and safety regulations and requirements.

Good luck with the course Steven!
