As a transporter of Dangerous Goods, there are compliance regulations that need to be adhered to, these can defer from the categories classed under ADR.
For Medical Devices, for which Topspeed hold the ISO 13485 certification, we provide training through our Academy relating to Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
This training has been specifically devised to ensure that the transport of biological substances and controlled drugs are compliant with the guidelines provided by the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
The one-day course covers the principles to ensure sample integrity and chain-of-custody over temperature and time-sensitive samples and products and includes good practice guidelines for storage, distribution, package inspections, labelling, loading, temperature consistency, security, troubleshooting and documentation.
By the end of July 2022, all Topspeed drivers and the Operations team will have all undergone the GDP training, and new members of staff will be provided with this training as part of their induction process.
