Topspeed are recruiting in Scotland

We are looking for drivers in Scotland to join our growing team, we are particularly interested in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow based drivers.

What's it like to be a driver at TopspeedAs well as having good driving skills, we do have a requirement to accurately complete paperwork and work diligently to ensure the correct & timely collection and delivery of sensitive samples.
At Topspeed we operate a large fleet of Mercedes Benz vans, all purchased from new and which are subject to an in-house maintenance regime.  The vans are kept at the driver’s home address and returned periodically for servicing.

We manage our drivers and vehicles from the Operations Centre based in Knutsford, Cheshire using the comprehensive TomTom vehicle tracking, telematics and communication platform.  Drivers are issued with company clothing and smart phones used for bar-code capture and day-to-day contact.

Collection details are sent out to drivers usually the day before with day-to-day contact maintained between Operations staff and drivers.

Most of the work involves pre-planned collections that take place generally during normal office hours Monday to Friday.  Depending on where the drivers are based the working day starts from home around 11am and ends back at home probably around 8pm the same evening.

It is expected that most drivers will work around 40 to 50 hours-per-week.  Pay is calculated from the moment you leave home until your return and paid monthly by BACS.  As an employee, pay is subject to PAYE (National Insurance and Income Tax) in the normal way.

This work demands high levels of customer focus and we would be keen to talk to interested people who can demonstrate reliability and flexibility throughout their career.

If you are interested in a driving job at Topspeed Couriers please send your CV to sarah@topspeedcouriers.co.uk accompanied by a short covering letter explaining why you feel you might be suitable for the role.
