Progression and development of our Operations team is important to us at Topspeed, and we are delighted to announce three key pieces of news.
The first includes a Congratulations too, as Colin Ewing has successfully completed his training and has passed the Scottish Qualifications Authority and Department of Transports exams required to become qualified as a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA). Colin commenced his training in August 2017 and sat his final exams in March 2018.
A DGSA can provide guidance on transporting dangerous goods and for related packing, filling, loading or unloading in All Classes by Road in accordance with EC Directive 2008/68 and Statutory Instrument 2009 No 1348.
Colin becomes the second DGSA at Topspeed, and strengthens our customer offering to provide on the spot and up to date advice on the transporting of dangerous goods. Colin has worked at Topspeed for three years.
Our second piece of news is that Ben Garside had become a full-time member of the Operations Hub team. Ben originally joined Topspeed as one of our drivers in July 2017, though with his previous experience as a Management trainee he was able to move into office to cover for holidays. In December Ben accepted the role of Operations Co-ordinator and works primarily on our Animal Health Contracts.
Thirdly, as of 1st April Rebecca Goulson has been promoted from Operations Manager to the role of Sales Ledger Clerk working with Finance Director Gillian Lockley. Rebecca has worked at Topspeed for over two years and her well proven administration skills coupled with a growing knowledge of business process will be an asset to the finance team.
Dave Turner, Managing Director at Topspeed comments; “as managers it’s always a good feeling to see people you have recruited move up the organisation and add value. These three have applied themselves to the job in hand and their efforts are much appreciated. Hopefully it’s onwards and upwards for all of them.”
