Recently, Topspeed’s Chief Executive and Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor, Steve Clegg, provided on-site support at a nuclear research establishment for the safe transport of a rather unusual radioactive package.
The material to be transported was so unusual that the consignor had to design bespoke internal packaging to hold the item secure whilst in transit.
As part of an annual DGSA audit Steve was on hand to ensure compliance with the regulations concerning the consigning and transportation of the package, and observe it being loaded onto a special artic lorry before it was transported to Sellafield.
