One of our latest new contracts is as the nominated courier for patient samples for Cancer Research UK in the North West area of the UK.
The three-year study project involves collecting samples from North Manchester and delivering them to the laboratory. The purpose of the study is to identify earlier detection of relapse via community-based blood collection and frequent monitoring of minimal residual disease with liquid biopsies in patients undergoing curative-intent surgery for non-small cell lung cancer.
Commenting on the contract, David Turner, Managing Director at Topspeed said; “we are pleased to be part of this innovative study that in the long term will support patient outcomes. We have a long association with the biomedical industry having worked with the Institute of Cancer Research and are an approved carrier for Public Health England regularly collecting from The Christie NHS Trust, Manchester Royal Infirmary and Government research laboratories including Porton Down and Colindale”
